Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Where did you get the moniker “nymphette”? I get asked this question a lot and typically if you are reading my blog, you already know the answer to this question. Nymphette is the name of a pretty popular MAC lipglass and also the name of my first cosmetics purchase.
How old are you? How tall are you? Where do you live? Where were you born? I am 28 years old and 5ft 1in. I get asked how tall I am pretty much on a daily basis and I have no clue why. I’ve been told I look tall on camera but I am super short! I live in Northern California and have lived here most of my life. I was born in Holland and moved to California when I was a young child.
What do you do for a living? How did you get involved in cosmetics? I have almost 10 years of sales and marketing experience with most of it specifically in real estate. When the market turned I wanted to move to an industry that I had a passion for and beauty was my passion. I currently freelance for Benefit Cosmetics allover Northern California.
Why did you cut your hair? What color hair dyes do you use? I have always been the type of person that gets bored with their look. For as long as I remember, I have been changing up my hair style and this time it was a little more dramatic than usual. I have had my hair this short for over 2 years now. Typically, my stylist colors my hair so I usually don’t know what she uses.
How long did it take to finish your backpiece? My backpiece is actually a triple coverup and my final piece took about 12 hours to complete.
What is your foundation color at MAC? I do not use a typical MAC foundation but have been told that I am an NC40 in the summer and about an NC 35 in the winter. I wear Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium Dark as my foundation on a daily basis. I have recently started using MAC Face & Body and I am wearing C4.
What is your favorite lipstick? This question is asked quite a bit and I always have a hard time answering because I have so many. Girl About Town, Impassioned, Up The Amp, Morange, Vegas Volt (all by MAC) are a few of my favorites from the permanent line.
