Check It Out
I’ve been eyeballing the Sally Hansen Salon Effects strips for forever now. I’ve always thought they were quite pricey and wasn’t sure they would be worth it on my worthless natural nails. When I got my gel nails I was less reluctant to grab a box. Especially when they were on sale and I had $5 in CVS Extra Care Bucks.
I personally rarely paint all my nails the same color. This worked out perfectly in this situation because one box of Salon Effects is meant for one use. There are 2 sealed packets of 7 strips each. Each packet is meant for one hand but in my case I was able to spread the 7 strips over all of my 10 fingers since I don’t necessarily want the pattern on all my nails anyway. This is awesome because I can use one box twice! If your nails are short you can use them even more than that. Just remember the strips are real polish so they will dry out once it is opened.
The strips themselves are pretty easy to use. My first application wasn’t perfect but definitely works. I’m sure my next go round will be better. These picture were taken on day 4 and I had some slight lifting and therefore peeling on one finger but I think that was due to my application. I love the ease of these and now knowing I can use these more than once I will definitely be purchasing these again.

Little word of caution… Those little knockoff strips that you see everywhere from Nordstroms to Claire’s from my experience are not the same thing. They are typically just foil stickers that do not adhere to your nails like these polish strips do. Just keep in mind the real polish strips need to be air tight and chances are if you see the actual strips just hanging out, they aren’t real polish strips. Obviously these are the words of a person that was fooled…
