Studded & Tattooed
I’ve been dying to try the Faux + Dev lashes that I got from Faux. I knew I wanted to do a deep smokey eye but I wasn’t sure what color exactly…. This is what I ended up with.
The amazing blueish purple color you see is Glamour Doll Eyes Tattooed. Since the lashes themselves are pretty “in your face” I wanted to keep the number of colors I used in this look to a minimum. I did want a bold color though so I thought this worked out perfectly.
I am using a couple of new things in this FOTD. I just picked up Mac Studio Fix powder in C4 and returned it pretty much immediately. Not my taste in powder at all. Not sure why I even’t picked it up. I did end up exchanging it for their Studio Careblend Pressed Powder in Medium Dark. I like the CB soooooo much more so far but I literally just tried it so I will keep you guys posted on how I like it. The CB is much creamier than the powdery Studio Fix. I’m not a fan of a super unnaturally matte look so SF just wasn’t my cup of tea. I’m also testing out a new brow pencil, Milani Easybrow in Natural Taupe. I actually LOVE this so far. Surprisingly it is very natural especially since I opted for a lighter color. Those of you who have followed my blog awhile know that I’ve been using a brow powder exclusively for forever. I was looking for a shortcut to my long daily brow routine. This might be replacing my normal wax and powder routine! I did add some darker brow powder on top of the pencil because I felt like I needed a darker brow to carry this look.
