1960′s Mod x Edie Sedgwick x frmheadtotoe x KPop Inspired

Ummmmmmmm I’m sure my title confused the heck out of you but let me explain.  I was inspired by Jen of frmheadtotoe’s BoA “Game” Music Video look.  I know absolutely nothing about KPop but all I know is I wanted to recreate this look.  I didn’t dupe it exactly though because I wanted a more sharp, defined Edie Sedgwick appeal to it hence the 1960′s Mod.

First, here are some inspiration pictures of BoA’s music video look.  How adorable is she?

And now here is Jen’s rendition.  How adorable is SHE?!?  I just adore Jen.  I love that she is on YouTube but still puts effort into her blog.  Her photos are always amazing, she’s absolutely creative and she is truly a down to earth awesome girl.

AND here are some Edie Sedgwick shots…

Anyway, throw all of these girls in the mix and I came up with this look!  Not sure if you guys have ever noticed but my eyes are completely different so doing such a precision look is quite difficult when there is no symmetry in my eyes.   It’s much easier hiding my imperfections when doing a smokey eye.

I am testing out my Physicians Formula Mineral Face Powder that I blogged about yesterday.  Too early to tell but I can already see how different it looks on camera.  Both my top & bottom lashes are by Miss Adoro.  #138 on the top and #117 (my everyday top lashes) on the bottom.

I am wearing Evil Shades Deviant Lipstick in Devious Virtue on my lips.  LOVE!!!

I used ELF Gel Liner to create the general shape and went over it with Urban Decay Black Dog from the Black Palette.   I used Sugarpill Tako and added MAC Reflects Blue on top for some sparkle.

    • HAHAHAHAH as much bokeh as I could get dammit!!! Thanks babes!

  4. I love Edie Sedgwick like it’s my job (own many books about her…something about beautiful, tragic women), but I think that second photo under the first b&w picture is actually Twiggy. :-)

ANYWAY… love the inspiration of this look. It’s fantastic!

    • You know I was thinking it looked like Twiggy but every single site I found that pic on said Edie… *shrugs*

  6. Wow I love this look! I have uneven lids too :( ( I don’t care whether they’re both mono or double lid but I wish they were the same!! Do you have any tips for making eye looks look more even with uneven lids?

    • Well I treat my heavier right eye as if it were the same as my left to try and compensate. Also, I try to make sure I check my work by opening my right eye throughout my routine. Not sure if that makes sense.

  7. I see this look all over the place (on the web) and have always wondered where it came from so thank you for solving that mystery for me. Great rendition, I’ve tried doing this style before but failed miserably so kudos on your skills!

    • I think what’s hard about this look is making it work for your eye shape. You can’t really dupe anybody else’s exactly. I’m positive you can do this look… Thanks!
