Nymphette Doing Nail Art???!

Ok so you guys know I’m not a huge polish person SIMPLY because my nails are so soft and flexible that my nail polish chips peels  not even a day in.  They peel even when my nails are cut completely  down as short as I can get them.   This is why you rarely see my fingernails painted although my toenails are always painted.  I actually do LOVE polish but I can’t enjoy them fully.  *pouts*

So I do occasionally do nail art on my toes since I can’t enjoy much else.  The Makeup Snob did a post on some Konad plate dupes that were such an awesome deal I just had to snag em.   The 21 plate set is sold by Bundle Monster and is available here on Amazon.  There are 6 designs on each plate totalling 126 designs!!  This set was only $17.99 SHIPPED and I picked up a Konad stamper and scraper for $4.85 at the same time.

By no means am I an expert on Konad or anything nail related for that matter but from what I have heard these plates work just as well except the full sized designs are a tad on the small side.  I have super tiny nails AND short nails so it worked for me but I don’t think it would fit on my thumb.

This was my first attempt.  I thought I would screw up so I did it on my bare nail but it actually turned out pretty good!  This is my ring finger.

So instead of continuing to pull my hair out attempt to take decent pictures of a reflective object, I am going to refer you guys to The Makeup Snob’s post because she was able to take amazing pictures of the actual plates.

Let me know if you guys have these, are planning to buy them or have compared these to the real Konad’s.  I’m curious…

  1. I have the bundle monster plates as well. They aren’t as good as konad (the images are not cut as deep or accurate) but they are certainly woth the price for the amount of usable images.

    • Thank you for your input! I was curious but being that I’m not a nail polish extraordinaire like yourself I didn’t want to splurge on my first nail stencil attempt lol.

  2. I’ve been wanting to buy one of these…maybe i will buy it from amazon that’s really cheap! Usually it’s about $6 online price for one each..thanks for this post! hahahaa and you did a good job ;)

    • Yeah I didn’t want to splurge on Konad’s since I’m not really a nail person. LOL. xoxo

  3. I have the Bundle Monster plates and I love them for the same reasons EvilAngels lists above. My nails used to be flimsy/peely until I started keeping them polished 24/7. I do a lot of work with my hands and I think the polish keeps water from weakening my nails plus it gave me better incentive to not use my nails as tools.

    • I get so frustrated so I just stop painting my fingernails… =( I’ll have to put some effort into it…

  4. You are PERFECT!

    • *blushes*

  5. Keep’em comin chica :) :)

    • LOL thanks…. I might need to stick to makeup
