Mini haul and swatches

Nothing like a little haul to bring some sunshine into your day.  Just wanted to share some swatches with you guys…  None of the limited edition collections really caught my eye at Mac so I got some lippies that I’ve been wanting for a long time.  I picked up 2 more Revlon mattes that were on clearance.  I also found a great everyday blush that goes with almost everything.

I am always on a mission to find the perfect blush that gives a dewey sheen to it but always seem to find glittery blushes that think they glow.  I want glowy not disco ball.  Dainty is a warm, medium pink with a touch of peach to it.  It does have some gold to it as well.  I love it because it goes with a lot of looks.  It can be a very sheer blush to a more dramatic pink.  I didn’t swatch it but I am wearing Dainty in all of the pictures below.  It looks sort of scary glittery in the pan but as you can see it isn’t at all.

Rebel is a color unlike any other color in my stash so I had to get it!!!  It looks super dark in the tube but when you apply it, it instantly brightens up to a berry, fuschia color.  It is a Satin so it feels very nice on my lips.  It is also very pigmented and opaque.  It wears off to a pretty berry stain on my lips.  I think Rebel will quickly become part of my top 5.

Impassioned, oh Impassioned.   I put on Impassioned just about every single time I’m at the MAC counter.  I always end up getting something else but I adore Impassioned!  I’m glad I finally got it…  It is an Amplified Creme which is my favorite MAC finish.  It is a very bright pink with coral undertones.  It is simply electrifying!!!!

I already have Strawberry Suede from the Revlon Matte collection and I wanted to pick up a couple more shades from this line.  I grabbed Really Red because I wanted to see if it was a good dupe for my favorite red, MAC Ruby Woo.  If you read my review on Strawberry Suede you know that I was quite impressed with it.  Really Red applied a whole lot easier than Ruby Woo because it isn’t as matte.  So depending on if you really like the retro matte look, I would say Really Red is a pretty good dupe!  I posted a picture of Ruby Woo so you can decide for yourself.

Pink About It is probably my least favorite purchase of my haul.  I like the color, I just thought it was a little too sheer.  I like a very pigmented lipstick and I had to put on quite a few coats to get it to look like this.  It is a nice bright pink with again coral undertones.  It was on sale for $1.99 so I guess I can’t complain too much.

I am taking a break from lippies for awhile….  So I say.  haha..
