Are you rocking the dark lip this fall?

Sooo the whole black gloss thing last fall got me interested but I never actually invested in a black gloss.  So this fall I am seeing opaque black lips!!  Yikes.  I admit I was intrigued but didn’t think I would actually wear it out or even buy it.  So I went to check out Mac’s Style Black collection and this was the first collection in a long time that I wanted almost everything!

So anyway focusing on the black lip trend, I decided to try on a couple dark lippies.  I started with Night Violet from Style Black and uggggggh it was to die for.  I put Funtabulous Dazzleglass over it and I was SOLD!   HOT, HOT, HOT!!  So vampy!  I ended up never trying a black lip but I think this is as dark as I will go…. for this season at least lol.   Since Night Violet is limited edition, you will probably have a hard time finding it.  You can also try Mac Cyber which is permanent.  Or if you want to try the blackberry lip look without fulling committing, try Bobbi Brown Black Raspberry Lip Sheer which goes on almost like a pigmented gloss.  The key with the dark lip is to have a precise, sharp line.  I dabbed concealer all around my lips and into my lips a little, applied a dark berry lipliner (no black please) and applied Night Violet with a brush.  Using a brush allows maximum control of the strong pigment in the dark lippies.  Of course you can apply a gloss to tone it down like I did.  I am hoping to see you guys rock this look because I am loooooving it… for now lol.
